I have always wanted to combine images. After learning
Photoshop in 2003, I started using the Layers palette to meld paint with
scanned still life. I spend many hours at the computer, trying out different
approaches. At first I imagined that I would simply create fresh images
on the computer that would serve as studies for paintings. But the opposite
is what really inspired me: I began using my painting to fuel Photoshop
as much as vice versa. Now the end product is a true synergy between the
Photoshop software and my trusty paintbrush.
